I came from a woodworking family, so I grew up around people who were working with wood and joinery all day long. When working on joinery, there used to be thin discarded strips and pieces from mortise and tenons of wood that they chipped away. As a kid, I would collect those scraps and build car racing tracks, where we used to play with RC cars. Those early experiences with wood sparked my passion for architecture and design.

When I moved to Australia in 2015, I initially pursued work in the architecture field. This gave me a deep understanding of what modern homes truly need—how spaces function and how cabinetry should be both beautiful and practical. It was here that I realized the importance of blending craftsmanship with architectural complexity. The key wasn’t just in traditional woodworking, but in combining design with precision manufacturing.

That’s when I knew I could take things further. I decided to merge my family's woodworking tradition with the advanced design techniques I’d learned. By integrating parametric design—a process that allows for highly customizable and complex shapes—I was able to create cabinetry that fits perfectly into modern homes. Achieving this level of architectural complexity requires more than hand tools; it calls for Industry 4.0 technologies.

So, I streamlined the process with advanced CNC machines and the nesting process, allowing for efficient, accurate production. This modern approach ensures that we can meet the demands of today’s sophisticated designs while maintaining the level of craftsmanship that’s been passed down through generations. And that's how PSM was born.

By 2022, after several years of honing my skills and learning the intricacies of the local market, I officially started designing and making cabinets under the PSM brand. My background, combined with advanced ideas in architecture and design, gives PSM a unique edge. The craftsmanship and innovation we bring to each project set us apart in this competitive market.

The journey wasn’t without its challenges, but manufacturing wasn’t one of them. Thanks to my family business, woodworking is in my blood. I had an inherent understanding of the craft that many others spent years trying to develop.
